Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon, Founder

Rav-Rimon_good-pic Rabbi Yosef Zvi Rimon, born in Tel-Aviv in 1968, is the grandson of the renowned poet and author, Yosef Zvi Rimon. He is a prolific author of Halachic works which reflect his unique approach, taking the reader from the sources to the practical application of Halacha in our modern reality. These include the “Shirat Miriam Haggadah for Pesach”, “Halacha for IDF Soldiers”, “Shemita”, “Yom Kippur Machzor”, “Birkat Ha’Mazon and Zemirot Shabbat”, “Arba’at Ha’Minim” for Succot and much more. “Shabbat Shamor” and “Shabbat Zachor” are now in advanced stages of writing and will, in all likelihood, be recognized as his magnum opus. 

Rabbi Eli Taragin, CEO

Rabbi Eli Taragin received his BA in Jewish Education from Herzog College and smicha from Yeshivat Har Etzion. He has spent the last several    years teaching Halacha at Yeshivat Har Etzion and at high schools in Gush Etzion. In addition, Rabbi Taragin helped form the “Community Rabbi  Training Program,” which helps prepare rabbis for community positions. He has written several books on Mishna and Halacha for the Halacha    Education Center, which were used by the Ministry of Education to help students prepare for the Bagrut exams. Rabbi Taragin lives in Alon Shvut   with his wife and four children. 

Nachman Jacobowitz, PR Director

nachman jBorn in Israel, Mr. Jacobowitz grew up in Long Beach, New York. After his freshman year at Yeshiva University, he returned to Israel and completed his BA and MA in School Psychology at Bar-Ilan University. Mr. Jacobowitz served two years in the Israeli Air Force Anti-Aircraft unit, including during the Yom Kippur War and, later served an additional year as an organizational psychologist in the Engineering Corps.  Mr. Jacobowitz’s work experience includes 16 years as the Executive Director of the Ulpana Girls Academy in Kiryat Arba and 7 years as the Director of Public Relations for Mercaz Yeshivot Bnei Akiva. Since October 2012, he has been working as Director of Public Relations for Halacha Education Center. Mr. Jacobowitz currently resides in Maale Adumim. He is the proud father of 6 and grandfather of 10. 

Yitzchak Bodner, Production Manager of English Curriculum

YitzcYitz Bodnerhak Bodner has a B.Ed. in Jewish Education from Herzog College in Alon Shvut  and an  MBA from Ben Gurion University as a Mandel Scholar. Yitzchak studied in the Otniel Hesder Yeshiva for six years and served as a combat solider in the Golani brigade. Yitzchak teaches Talmud at Neve Shmuel High School in Efrat and Rosh Tzurim High School. Yitzchak is the youth director in Efrat  and has worked for the Bnei Akiva youth movement in training counselors. He lives in Elezar with his wife and two children. 

Arielle Sullum, Development Associate and Content Writer


Arelle Sullum  writes grant proposals, works with foundations,  and does content writing. Ms. Sullum is also currently helping develop innovative Jewish education programs for North American Students. She holds a BA in Psychology from Bar Ilan and a MSc. in Organizational Psychology from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. Ms. Sullum was a Jewish Education Lainer’s Intern through Hebrew University and has studied at Pardes Institute for Jewish Studies. Arielle has ten years of experience in content writing, PR, and research. 

Rabbi Biמyamin Zimmerman, Director of Education

Binyamin Zimmerman  After earning a Master’s Degree in Secondary Jewish Education from Yeshiva University, Rabbi Binyamin Zimmerman received smicha from Yeshivat Har Etzion where he studied under Rabbi Aharon Lichtenstein.  Inspired by his eclectic studies, Rabbi Zimmerman has developed a practical approach to modern questions of Jewish outlook and philosophy, which is expressed in his series on Jewish Ethics in The Virtual Beit Midrash. Rabbi Zimmerman currently develops educational materials at the Halacha Education Center. Rabbi Zimmerman also teachers virtual courses to North American day school teachers online, so they can better utilize the Halacha Education Center’s materials. 

Susan Wolf, Editor and Translator

Susan Wolf is the primary editor and translator of the Halacha Education Center. She graduated with honors from Columbia University and has a BA in Computer Science and Economics. She enjoys her work with the Halacha Education Center because it gives her the opportunity to learn Torah while she is working; Mrs. Wolf is thrilled to take part in spreading Torah in Israel and abroad.
